Pule — The World’s Rarest Cheese
Handmade from the milk of our donkeys in Serbia. Limited small-batch production — truly ultra-rare and unforgettable.
Why Pule is ultra-rare
Pule is produced in tiny quantities from donkey milk collected on our family farm. Donkeys produce far less milk than cows or goats; milking and cheese-making are largely manual and time-consuming, and careful aging means only a handful of wheels are available each season. We care for more than 2,500 donkeys — animal welfare and artisanal craft are at the core of our process.
Price & value
The price reflects low milk yields, long artisanal labor, aging, and the ongoing cost of maintaining our herd. Your purchase supports traditional farming and humane animal care.
Reported traditional & nutritional notes
Some traditional sources and customers report that donkey-milk products can be easier to digest than typical cow cheeses, and that they contain notable proteins and unsaturated fats. These are reported observations and not medical claims.
